Collaborative Worker

Sometimes I am a leader and a follower as well. I am a collaborative worker because sometimes when we are put into a group I mostly let everyone be in charge. I let everyone else lead because I like to hear what kind of ideas they have and I also like to hear their own opinions. Sometimes though, I also need to speak up and say what I think and come up with my own ideas. I can’t just sit there and do nothing. In a team, everyone needs to do their part too.
A time when I had to be a leader was when I was in the quality assurance group in Ms. Dozier’s class. In the quality assurance group everyone had to work with each other. They would ask me where some materials were and I was suppose to know where they were. Also, our group would do experiments and take data. I was fully responsible to know what my data was.
I also had to be a follower too though because sometimes I needed to listen to my teammates. Sometimes I didn’t even know what to do and would ask my teammates to help me out. I would follow their steps.
I knew when it was appropriate to step in and tell them my opinions and ideas, but I also knew when to listen and follow their steps. Being a leader and a follower differ and have different responsibilities because when you are a leader you have a lot of responsibility on your hands and you need to help out your teammates. When you are a follower, you mostly copy their steps and be quiet.
